Eloise Stager, LMT founded Spiral Touch Therapies in January 2007 and endeavors to make it an integral part of the fabulous Sherman community by offering excellent services and skills for those with chronic pain, anxiety, stress, and injury. She holds a Biology degree from LIU-Southampton and licensure with the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB); and the CT Department of Public Health. In addition, she is a professional member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA), the International Association of Healthcare Practitioners, and the Upledger Institute.
Although a Licensed Massage Therapist, Eloise's specialty lies in the field of CranioSacral Therapy, a very gentle osteopathic technique designed to restore balance and function to the Nervous System. Each session of massage or craniosacral is tailored to the individual needs of the client and techniques are often combined to allow for the best results. She has taken a particular interest in the benefits of craniosacral therapy for injury recovery and childhood disorders such as Sensory Integration Disorder, ADD/ADHD, sleep disturbances, headaches, anxiety, fear and school troubles.
A Sherman native, Eloise married her husband, Mike, in 1993 at Holy Trinity in Sherman and moved to TX where she had two of her three children. Her family moved to MD in 1997 where Eloise had her third child and began her career as a Professional Doula and Massage Therapist. In August of 2006 she brought her family back to Sherman. You can see them regularly at the soccer fields in the Fall and Spring, on the ski slopes in the Winter, and on the lake in the Summer. Dr. Melinda Mingus
Dr. Mingus is a board certified AnesthesiologistCertified in Pain Management, Medical and Cosmetic Acupuncture.
Dr. Mingus, a graduate of Rice University, Houston, TX, received her medical training from Southwestern Medical School, Dallas, TX, her internship and residency from The New York Hospital and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, NY, NY. She completed a fellowship in Pain Management at The New York Hospital and Memorial and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Mingus was Assistant Professor and Medical Director of Ambulatory Surgery at The Mount Sinai Hospital until 2000, when she graduated from The NYU Stern School of Business to start an outpatient/office surgical and pain management practice.
Dr. Mingus is licensed to practice medicine and acupuncture in New York and Connecticut. Dr. Mingus has been in practice for over 25 years and recognizes the need for individual-focused rather than traditional disease-focused patient care. She uses a multidisciplinary treatment strategy drawing upon non-pharmacologic as well as medical therapies for complete patient care. Her extensive expertise in the area of pain management emphasizing a biopsychosocial approach to patient care and well being has resulted in marked improvement for many of her patients.
Dr. Mingus is certified in Acupuncture from the Academy of Pain Research, San Francisco,CA and Cosmetic Acupuncture - the Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture System™ - from Denver, CO. Dr. Mingus is licensed to practice medicine and acupuncture in NY, CT and Texas.Dr. Mingus has studied pulse diagnosis & Cosmetic Acupuncture under Dr. Martha Lucas, TCM approach to Dietary Therapy with Jeffrey Yuen at the Chinese Wellness Center, NY, and Detoxification Treatment Strategies and Essential Oils with Peter Holmes.
